Important Stuff

Do I need to pay to come and be a spectator?

No, you don't need to pay! You can enter the venue, bar, arcades and our VR area for free. We also have plenty of seating available so you can grab food and drinks and relax!

Is there a dress code?

Level X does not operate a dress code policy, however our venues are family friendly. Guests may be refused entry if they are wearing anything that could cause offence.

How does Level X work?

We recommend you try Level X for yourself in order to get the full experience. Once you've chosen your gaming experience and your preferred date and timeslot, add everything to your basket. Make sure everything is correct before you confirm, but once you've done that, you'll receive an email with all details. When you arrive, a member of our team will direct you to your chosen world. Tip - arrive 30 minutes before your booking in order to enjoy Level X to its fullest.

What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Trust us, you won't want to cancel!

What time does Level X open?

Glasgow: We are open from 10am until late daily. Middlesborough: Monday - Thursday: 3pm - late, Friday: 11am - late, Saturday - Sunday: 10am - late and during school holidays: 10am daily.

Is there parking nearby?

Glasgow: Yes, St Enoch Shopping Centre has 900 parking space offering direct access via Maxwell Street. Middlesbrough: Yes, Captain Cook Square has an easily accessible multi-storey car park with over 700 spaces. You can get two hours of free parking.

Where are you located?

Glasgow: We are located in the St Enoch Shopping Centre at 55 St Enoch Square, Glasgow, G1 4BW. We're based on the second floor. Booking

Can I just play the VR games?

Absolutely, all you have to do is purchase the games and time slots you want to play. We have VR pods with 20+ games available and also three VR arenas where you can play alongside your friends. Just make sure you select the correct VR type when booking.

What’s the difference between the karts?

There are three differences between the karts: 1) Reduced speed is a slower race with restricted speed. This is ideal for our younger guests or those who want to build up their confidence. 2) Gaming style - think Mario Kart! This is a fully immersive and interactive multi-level race track. Battle it out for victory and leave the losers in your dust. 3) Full speed races have no restrictions and are aimed at confident adults.

Can I stay at Level X once I’ve finished gaming?

Absolutely! Grab some food and drink or purchase some arcade credits to continue the fun.

Will my group be the only group racing?

Races involve multiple groups, so you'll get to experience competing with others. We hope you're feeling competitive!

What if I am late for my booking?

Unfortunately time slots are fixed so that we can manage safe and fair gaming areas. It's best to arrive early to avoid missing out on your session.

I’ve run out of arcade credit, can I buy more?

Of course you can. Head over to the kiosks in the venue to purchase additional credits.

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your session so that you can enjoy all Level X has to offer. Make sure you grab your drinks!

I’ve already booked but would like to add more people into my group. How do I do this?

You have two options: 1) reply to your email confirmation, asking to add more people onto your booking. If we have availability, our team will send you a new payment link. OR 2) give the venue a quick call, a member of our team will be happy to help.

Do I need to pre-book?

We do accept walk-in guests, but we recommend pre-booking to make sure you don't miss out. We will always try to accommodate visitors whenever we can. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Food and Drink

Can I bring food into the venue?

Only food purchased at Level X can be eaten in venues. We have a range of sweet treats on offer, plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.

Can I call in just for a drink and to play the arcades?

We would absolutely love you to! If we're open, the arcades are open.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Level X is a fully cashless venue. We accept debit and credit cards, Apple and Google Pay on all payment terminals. Whilst we accept Amex for online bookings, we do not accept it in venues.

Do you offer table service?

Table service is only available on the bowling lanes. Scan a QR code or see a member of the team to place an order. Once you've ordered, keep an eye on the screens for your number!

Do you offer food and drink?

We have a range of amazing drinks and sweet treats on offer. Head to a kiosk, scan a QR code or see a member of the team to place an order. Keep an eye on the screens, when your order is up head to the bar to collect it.

Private Hire & Events

Do you offer space for company meetings or conferences?

Yes, Level X can be booked for any corporate meetings and conferences. Please contact the Events team at enquiries@levelx.co.uk to discuss more details.

Do you offer exclusive hire of the whole venue?

Yes we do. You can book Level X as an exclusive venue hire. Or you can book specific gaming areas if you're looking for something a little smaller. Contact our dedicated Events team at enquiries@levelx.co.uk to discuss more details.

Do you offer kids parties?

Unfortunately, we don't offer kids parties at the moment. However, be sure to sign up for our mailing list to receive updates and offers here.

Health & Safety

Do you have any age restrictions?

Level X is a family friendly venue and allow children of all ages in our venues, however children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an 18+ adult. Children aged 12-17 can visit unaccompanied until 7pm; if accompanied by an adult, they can stay until 9pm. Please be aware, after 9pm, Level X is an 18+ only venue. Management retain the right to refuse entry to anyone, who is unable to prove their age with a passport/driving license, when asked. Please note, photocopies or photographs will not be accepted. Some games may not be appropriate for younger children - our recommended age is 8+. Our venue team will be happy to provide assistance.

Where can I store my bag while I play?

We have lockers available which can be used free of charge. Ask a member of our team who will be happy to assist you.

Do I have to wear those silly shoes for bowling?

You'll be pleased to know that 'those silly shoes' are optional and free of charge to wear. However, heels and open toed shoes aren't permitted on the lanes so you will have to wear them if you come to venues wearing either.

Can I bring my dog?

Whilst we love animals, we can only allow assistance dogs in the venues.

Do you have any accessibility support in place?

Glasgow: our arcades, VR area and bowling lanes are fully accessible. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the game, golf isn't as it has steps on the course, but if you speak to a member of our team in the venue about your needs, they will be able to offer advice. Middlesbrough: our arcades, VR area, bowling and darts are fully accessible and both floors can be accessed via a lift. Golf, karting and dodgems have limited accessibility, but if you speak to a member of our team in the venue about your needs, they will be able to offer advice.

LVL Up! FAQs

How do I play the arcades?

You can choose to add on arcade credits to your entry wristband or purchase an arcade wristband separately. Simply scan your wristband on the reader on the machine to activate the game (make sure you have enough credit).

I’ve already got an arcade wristband; can I top it up?

Yes you can. Head over to the kiosk or see a member of the team who’ll be happy to help.

I haven’t used all my credits; can I save them for a later date?

Yes, credits are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

How do I redeem my tokens?

During game play you win virtual tokens. When you’ve finished playing head over to the PrizeHub to redeem them for a prize of your choice.

How do I check my credit or prize tokens?

Simply scan your wristband on any of the arcade machines to check your balances.

Can I order food and drink whilst playing?

Food and drink can be ordered via the app or by scanning the QR code. Keep an eye out on the screens for your order to be ready and head over to the bar to collect when ready.

Do I need to pre-book to play?

No need to pre book, head over to the arcade area to play.
